Call for Student Papers in Latin American Studies

The Greater Philadelphia Latin American Studies Consortium (GPLASC) is now soliciting panel and paper proposals from undergraduate and gruaduate students within consortium schools for the December 5th Student Conference.  Proposals from all disciplines are encouraged, including but no limited to: Anthropology, Archaeology, Art History, Cultural Studies, Environmental Studies, Ethnomusicology, Gender Studies, History, Linguistics, Literature, Political Science and Sociology.  Panels should consist of four presenters and a faculty commentator. Individual paper proposals are also welcome.  Papers can be presented in either Spanish or English.  Gnerally, each presenation is allocted about 12 minutes of presentation.  On average, about 15 to 20 power-point slides should suffice. Please provide names, academic affiliation, email addresses, and a one paragraph abstract of the paper or panel you propose.  The deadline for the proposals is November 19, 2014.  Please send panel or paper applications to: satya.pattnayak@villanova.edu.
