Center for Latin American and Latinx Studies A Message to the Latin American and Latino Studies Program Community:
The Trump administration recently moved to repeal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a program intended to protect undocumented immigrants who arrived in this country as minors. In other words, individuals who have lived, worked, and studied here for the majority of their lives and who may not know any other home. This is a stressful time for many members of our Penn community and the country at large. LALS urges everyone to demonstrate compassion, inclusion, and respect for all individuals.
