This exhibit features imagery from original posters, flyers, and newspapers from the social movement archives maintained by historian Brad Duncan. Such an intersection of art and history brings Puerto Rican, Chicano and Mexican American, Dominican, and other Latinx appeals for civil rights and dignity into fuller focus. While most of the items are from the 1960s and 70s, current, local movements are also included with documents and art from Taller Puertorriqueno and Juntos. Duncan and curators Anthony Romero and Marissa Johnson-Valenzuela will speak at the exhibit opening.
